| Why
is it that all of the suspension works so good in tests and all I hear is “I
need to get my suspension Revalved”? Is it because stock suspension is bad?
Or because it fatigues or breaks in, and then works bad? Does the rider not know
how to adjust it? Is it just the thing to do? Maybe it is just temperamental? I
can explain what every piece of your suspension will affect. What every shape
of piston will provide. I know how far shims need to open and the rate at which
they can bend. I know oil and oil viscosity, the benifits of thick oil and the
benifits of thin oil. I have many preferable and distinguishing factors that make
every little part work efficiently. I look at stock pistons and through my arms
up. Why, because I know too much? I know the stock design is good for basic and
overall averages. I know it covers a large degree of terrain. Does it do it right?
I think it is maxed out. I think it will be overlooked for years to come. To
me it comes down to two facts. Companies want to sell motorcycles and all information
is tainted. This is true in all industries. Some have problems with whatever they
ride, and then there are some who can’t even find one problem with their
bike. There is still the truth. Some see it and some don’t. What difference
does it make? Why would it help to overcome inconsistency? I believe it is important
to have cooperative theories. For example: Why do all companies now use the same
concept? They all have mid-valves that don’t bend and Adjusters that over
blow off. How can anyone fix it without changing the whole system? They can’t.
They can cover up the big holes, but it is just not possible to complete it with
stock parts. There has to be a way to get more flex and more volume control. I
no longer have to throw my hands up, I know what the technology has to do. Pete
